The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is rolling out the red carpet for their Nutrition Programs for 2013. One of the programs being offered for 2013 is the Eat Healthy, Be Active Program. Developed by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the research-based workshops are designed for individuals and families to come together in a fun and interactive setting to learn about eating healthier and putting more activity into their everyday life.

If living a healthier lifestyle is one of your goals for 2013 this series is for you. There will be six workshops, each lasting 1 hour and containing handouts, activities, and videos designed to help you make healthier choices. You will have an opportunity to learn about foods to increase, foods to decrease, how to balance calories and many more nutrition and health related topics.

If you are interested in participating in these FREE workshops or would like more information, contact your County Extension Coordinator and they will put you in touch with Regional Extension Agents in Human Nutrition, Diet & Health.
