The Alabama Cooperative Extension System in partnership with the National Federation of Independent Businesses, has produced a webinar on Identity Theft Loss: Can Data Loss Shut Down Your Company?
In this highly informative and interactive presentation, Rosemary Elebash, state director of NFIB, interviews Julie Ryan, a certified identity theft risk management specialist who educates business owners and corporate executives on federal and state legislation regarding privacy and security requirements, data loss, identity theft and its impact on companies.
Key issues covered in the webinar include an overview of data loss and identity theft laws; the five types of identity theft; how the laws affect business owners, executives and companies; civil and criminal financial risks associated with data loss; federal and state compliance requirements; how a company can help protect itself and its employees; and a company's risk when a third party provider loses confidential information.
This webinar provides the knowledge and tools to implement a corporate plan to address data loss, identity theft and federal and state compliance requirements.
