Thinking about getting married? Newly married? Love being married?

Then, join other couples who wish to make their relationship the best it can be at the Elevate workshop series. The Elevate series is sponsored by Alabama Extension, the Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Initiative and the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement.

The workshops will start at 5 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 19, Feb. 26, March 5 and March 12 in the ACES Meeting Room at the Talladega County Extension Office, 132 Court St. North, in Talladega. Facilitators will be Linda Dickson, Ollie Kates and Debra Ward.

Premarital Couples:

Are you currently in a relationship? Want to know how to have a lasting and successful relationship? This is the place for you! Come and learn about effective communication, intimacy and realistic relationship expectations in an interactive environment. Improve your relationship-building skills and identify where it begins: WITH YOU!

Married Couples:

Are you ready to take your relationship to the next level? All marriages have ups and downs, and every marriage can benefit from some refreshing. Come learn how to work through the lows and increase the number of highs in your relationship. Reenergize your marriage by reviving the friendship you used to have. Discover your love language and how to avoid the most common arguments that married couples have.

Participants have the opportunity to earn $50 a couple or $25 per person for filling out the pre-survey and the 6-week follow-up survey.  Payment will be mailed by check.

Refreshments will be provided, and participants will receive a $10 Wal-Mart gas/gift card for each class attended. There is limited seating, so interested participants should call (256) 362-6187 to register by Feb. 17.
