The 4-H/TSC Paper Clover Campaign is a nationwide, in-store fundraiser that benefits 4-H programming in the communities where a TSC store is located. The spring campaign raised more than $787,769 that supports 4-H on the local, state and national level. During the 12-day promotion, the Opelika TSC store raised $793 for 4-H in Lee County.
The national effort has provided direct support for local camps, after-school programs and other activities, and has granted scholarships to these events that allow youth to explore their interests in everything from animal science to robots.
In Lee County, the funds will be used to fund all 4-H programs including the different 4-H clubs and teams, awards and ribbons and scholarships to different 4-H camps.
Chuck Browne, Lee County Extension coordinator, is very proud of the Opelika store and the people who work there. “They have gone above and beyond the call of duty and the store manager is very instrumental in working with 4-H,” Browne said. “It doesn’t surprise me that they won the award because they work so hard at what they do.”
The Athens, Ala. TSC received an award as the Alabama Top Paper Clover sales store raising $1,040 for 4-H in Limestone County.
