Coffee County Extension Office will conduct the second annual Hay Production meeting May 16. Producing Hay in Southeast Alabama is being held at the Bama Jam Farms in Enterprise.
The program will begin at 8 a.m. and include presentations by Alabama Cooperative Extension System specialists throughout the morning. Dr. Jennifer Johnson is scheduled to talk about forage quality for hay production, Dr. Kathy Flanders will present insect control, Dr. Charles Mitchell will present nutrient management and Max Runge is scheduled to discuss economic considerations in hay production.

Lunch following the presentation is being sponsored by AGCO, the agricultural equipment manufacturer. A hay equipment demonstration by the sponsors will follow lunch.
Participants are encouraged to register by May 10 by calling the Coffee County Extension Office at (334) 894-5596.
