weeds such as dog fennel, pigweed, horse nettle, and bitterweed can overwhelm
your grass forages. A
webinar entitled “Controlling Summer Weeds in Pastures and Hayfields” will be
held at 10 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, May 1.
This webinar is an excellent opportunity for cattlemen and forage
producers to learn how to deal with these weeds.
Dr. Stephen Enloe (Extension Weed Specialist) with Auburn University
and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System) will discuss practical control strategies to minimize the effect
of these summer weeds. Questions
for the speakers can be submitted during the webinar via e-mail and will be
answered during the webinar.
The webinar will also be recorded so it can be viewed at any
time after May 1. Information on how to
connect to the live stream can be found at www.aces.edu/events/index.php.
