Auburn University and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) in conjunction with Gadsden State Community College and the Alabama-Missippi Sea Grant will be offering a 5-day teacher training workshop called Aquaculture 101. The workshop will be held June 7-11th at the Aquculture Education and Development Center in Gadsden, AL. Aquaculture, or the reproduction and growth of aquatic organisms in a controlled or semi-controlled environment is a multi-faceted science that relies heavily on principles of Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics. Please join us for this opportunity to learn more about aquaculture and some innovative opportunities to teach these principles in a real world setting. The workshop is free and provides 32 hours of Continuing Education Credits. Check out the link below for schedules and details.
